From Russia Into Jogja Fashion Week 2011 : Natalya Knerik

Russian designer Natalya Knerik has joined in Jogja Fashion Week runaway, she blended local tradition of Indonesia into her design. She brought her element (Keshte) a very traditional hand embroidery from Turkmen and then combine it with Batik from Indonesia and other Indonesia’s traditional fabric. The result is tough look design but elegant, take a look.

The door of Jogja fashion week (JFW) 2011 the biggest fashion event in Jogjakarta finally opened at November 2nd 2011. Jogja Fashion Week 2011 is Ready To Held

Yogyakarta, Tuesday, 13 Oct, 2011. JFW 2011 Press Conference has been held to explain the preparation of Jogja Fashion Week 2011 event 2 – 6 November 2011. Afif Syakur said, “ Preparation is running good, the designers were ready and the designs this year are involving than last year,and thenumber of designer who follow JFW were liven up”.

With the theme ‘In Vintage’ and the concept of ready to wear the designers were expected to make product that reachable in price. Vintage refer to the design and also the material of the design, it can be bring batik, lurik, or any traditional material into the design. This even of JFW will be a great reason to come to Jogjakarta enjoying the atmosphere of Jogjakarta and be witness of biggest fashion event in Jogjakarta, Jogja Fashion Week 2011.

Jogja Fashion Week 2011 : In Vintage

Biggest fashion event in Yogyakarta, "Jogja Fashion Week" will be relaunch at june 2011, but the main event will be in November 2011. As the most wanted fashion event for fashionista and also for fashion creator this event has contiunaly held for years.

Since 2006 this event first time held Jogja Fashion Week always bring new concept and theme, at 2006 JFW brought The Expression of Traditions as the theme remarking the condition at that time that the local product is decreasing. The number of local craftman especialy for Batik and Lurik as local heritage also dramaticaly decreas because of globalizations effect, that condition bring big concern from GKR Pembayun, Afif Syakur and Alm.Isman Indarto to create an event to bring the spirit and passion for local product to improve and be stronger. The idea also supported by “Balai Pelayanan Bisnis Disperindagkop”, “Dinas Pariwisata Propinsi” and also “Dinas Pendidikan dan Budaya”. Then the idea was born as Jogja Fashion Week 2006, The Expression of Traditions at November 30 – Desember 3rd 2006.
